Brief
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus named SARS-CoV2.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Elder people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.
The SARS-CoV-2 Multiplex Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Kit (PCR-Fluorescence Probing) is used for qualitative detection of the ORF1ab,N and E genes of SARS-CoV-2 in nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab, alveolar lavage fluid, saliva and sputum from patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection, suspected cases with SARS-CoV-2 infection and other patients requiring diagnosis or differential diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
